The Sensar Marine Boat & Bilge Monitor provides you with all the important key data about your boat around the clock and monitors it: battery bank and starter battery status, water level and water temperature in the bilge, bilge pump activity, air temperature (in the bilge), GPS position of the boat, effect of external forces (see “Functions” for details). Sensar Marine is developed and manufactured in Norway.
The monitoring system runs on an internal battery with an independent runtime of 40 days and recharges itself as soon as the boat's batteries are charged, for example via the engine's alternator or by connecting to shore power in the harbor.
The boat and bilge monitor collects sensor data every second and updates the data in the app every 60 minutes when the boat is at rest and once a minute when the boat is in use. Thanks to the in-house Sensar Marine app, you always have a complete overview of the condition of your boat and access to current and past data. If measured values reach warning or alarm values, you will automatically receive an alarm notification via SMS and the corresponding data on your app.
A SIM card permanently integrated in the device dials into the best available network and transmits the data to the app user. In addition to the one-off purchase price of the boat and bilge monitor, a subscription fee of €10 excl. VAT per month (with an annual subscription) is charged to the buyer/user for data transmission via the SIM card (more information here: Subscription Sensar Marine).

The Sensar Boat & Bilge monitor monitors the following values and systems:
Monitoring consumer battery bank/starter battery:
The system supports both 12V and 24V (measurable values: 0V - 30V). A notification is issued if the following values are exceeded:
- Warning battery level: 12.2V, additionally with consumer battery bank: 24.4V
- Alarm battery level: 11.9V, additionally with consumer battery bank: 23.8V
Bilge sentry:
The bilge monitor monitors the water level and water temperature in the bilge, the air temperature and the activity of the bilge pump. Notification if the water level exceeds the following values:
- Warning at: 10 cm / 4 in
- Alarm at: 14 cm / 5.5 in
Water and air temperature measuring range: -20 °C to 60 °C (-4°F to 140°F). Notification if water temperature falls below the following values:
- Warning at: 1.1°C / 34°F
- Alarm at: -2°C / 28°F
GPS functions:
The integrated GPS antenna provides real-time information about the boat's current position. This can be shared at any time via Google Maps.
GeoFence: If the boat is stationary for more than 15 minutes, the virtual “fence” is automatically erected (a circle of approx. 100 to 150 meters around the boat). If the boat leaves this perimeter, Sensar Marine sends a notification.
Trip recording (triplog): Every trip with the boat is automatically recorded and stored for three months for retrieval. In the calendar or list view, you can see when the boat was used, at what speed and on what course it was driven and whether there was a special event (impact in G-force).
Acceleration and impact measurement in G-force:
The boat and bilge monitor has an integrated accelerometer that measures and displays the G-force that affect the boat (e.g. a collision or running aground). Measured G-force: 0g to 8g.
