CR brass - corrosion resistant brass alloy
CR brass is a high-quality brass alloy, also called DZR brass (dezincification resistant) or CW602N. By admixing other metals, the copper content of CR brass is kept at 63%. Compared to the MS58 brass previously used in boatbuilding, this significantly extends its durability in salt water. CR brass is not only recommended for use in salt water, but also in fresh water, because dezincification can also occur in lakes.
